the USA built a system of higher education so good that smart/rich people from across the world came here, spending billions to learn here, subsidizing education for Americans while spending money to live in our cities and towns. our government arbitrarily decided we should stop doing that
The US could see a 30-40% decline in new international student enrollment, resulting in nearly $7 billion in lost revenue and more than 60,000 fewer American jobs. https://www.nafsa.org/fall-2025-international-student-enrollment-outlook-and-economic-impact

Got lost and found the Tennessee River.
I still wonder why the area doesn’t have more development around the river…a riverwalk would be so nice

I see that this new budget bill collapses the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development into a different NIH institute.

So RFK Jr. agreed to remove his Aunt Eunice's name from the NIH named after her?

The Trump Administration has pulled hundreds of millions of dollars in unspent federal pandemic relief money from public schools. Alabama's Selma City Schools, recently struck by a deadly tornado, was one of them.

Feds pull $9 million for tornado-stricken Alabama school district, reading program: ‘Panic’
The move is the latest in a series of efforts to minimize what the Trump administration has called “wasteful” government spending.
