This bill disenfranchises a whole lot of women, but it disproportionately disenfranchises Republican women. Married women lean Republican. Married women who change their names definitely lean Republican. Seems a little self-defeating.

So what I’m hearing here is that if China and the EU agree on something, they get to set the rules.
Stephen Miller: The United States is 36% of global consumption, and we are more than 25% of the world's economy. Just the United States alone. That means we get to set the rules and terms for international trade.

Long past expecting conservatism--the kind that wants to preserve institutions and keep things on an even keel--to play a serious role, but will never get why conservatives tolerate things like this, or tariff games, or anything that generates uncertainty for markets, alliances, investments, etc.
