When I am abroad, I make an effort to pick up a few basic phrases, like please, thank you, excuse me and use them almost exaggerated amounts. My wife calls this “faking it” but I call it “practicing”. In any case, here is my alignment chart of Europeans responding to efforts to speak their language.

Second day this week at the gym. Feeling a lot of discomfort with this process, working out, getting to know my body as an active part of me. I’m trying not to be too in my head about it. Just have fun. But it doesn’t come natural to me.

Evil relies on all of us normalizing it, on us drawing a line from our own desires we feel comfortable expressing & acting on, and the crimes of the perverse and cruel. It is important to say no. To say it is sick and wrong to assault children. To sexualize youth and inexperience and defenselessness
for the record, i don’t believe that all men want is to assault teenagers without suffering consequences for it. i do however believe that if you’re a man who does NOT want that, this would be a GREAT time to get VERY FUCKING LOUD about it
