I somehow managed to dodge yesterday’s company layoff list. Surreal to hear the reading of an HR approved company announcement speaking of record profits, a strong company, thank you all for the hard work etc, only for that to be followed with “staff reductions.” Survivors guilt. 8 year loyalty end.

David Sedaris signed a couple books for me before his show at the Vets in Providence on Friday! We discussed the proper pronunciation of labia and clitoris, as one does. Best birthday gift I ever gave myself. And what a view from my fifth floor Renaissance Hotel room.

Thanks also to the stranger lady behind me who snagged my phone and pushed me to approach, solely so she could get me to capture her pictures on her phone after. Forced interaction IS awkward!
