Kaja Kallas: we have to be really clear-eyed. We have one aggressor and one victim. And the one that needs security guarantees is Ukraine, not Russia.

In last 100 years, Russia has attacked at least 19 countries, some as many as three or four times. None of those countries has ever attacked Russia

Just seen videos from St Paul Minessota, and this felt so triggering: just had a flashback from our Maidan where my people had clashes with police forces attacking peaceful protest.

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

Bloomberg just posted a transcript of US envoy Witkoff advising Russia on how to pitch their ‘peace plan’ to Trump, and well, you just need to read it.

if anyone would’ve told me couple of years back that Russia would write an peace agreement benefiting it tremendously and would make US do their job for them and showcase it as their own I would’ve said it’s too cheap of plot twist and I wouldn’t watch that,

But what do you know.

the most disturbing part of Witkoff / Ushakov transcript is where Witkoff says that he has ‘the deepest respect’ for Putin

There are ways to talk to a murderous dictator if you absolutely need to . Saying you have ‘the deepest respect’ for the murderous dictator is not one of them.

Just curious but is anyone gonna be fired ? Isn’t what Witkoff is saying on transcript - basically telling a foreign country how to get into US president good graces and all - kinda treasony?

You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.
