Damn leo’s over here about to crush my dreams of being a widely-read author of pithy, soul-stirring passages about the relationship between consciousness and technology

Why does everyone keep calling it “The Epstein Ballroom?” Please stop repeating “The Epstein Ballroom” because it is not called “The Epstein Ballroom!” Don’t tell the news that it’s called “The Epstein Ballroom” and please don’t repost this!!!!!

this piece by @jamellebouie.net is tough. I especially appreciated the subtle but pointed invocation of Dubois’s conception of the ‘psychological wage’ of whiteness. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/22/o...

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion.

The entire bottom 50% of America is worth just $4.2 trillion.

Read that back.

When 400 people control more wealth than half a country’s population, we have a very serious problem.

This is the post Trump loyalist Charlie Kirk used to swing Sen. Joni Ernst's vote for Pete Hegseth, who if confirmed will be by far the most extremist cabinet official in modern history. Note the "tool" he used: Trans rights. The absence of centrist solidarity for trans rights made that possible.

this post is a navel gazing bummer, sorry. you’re welcome.

been kind of stuck on this image of doubting Thomas, fbow. i know copying Caravaggio is basic. but i enjoy the friction of embracing doubt as a self discipline—doubt about oneself, the world, one’s place in it—

The movie “Flow” is nominally about a little black cat surviving and finding friendships with a capybara and lemur, among others, in a flooded, post-apocalyptic world, but it is also about managing anxiety during crisis by focusing on the community you are in. Also it was made in Blender.
