I said I was getting prescreened for gestational diabetes at the clinic today because I’m fat and the other two pregnant women were like “oh no you’re not fat” and I’m like “I mean I am; I didn’t say I was ugly or disgusting so y’all can stop acting like I did”
When I use fat to describe myself, it's not a pejorative. It's the proper descriptor, like blue or lacy or upside-down. Acting like it's a curse word, that I'm putting myself down, says more about YOU than it does about me. Sit with that, maybe, please.

When I worked for immigration it was an Australian's *right* to return home & bring their family. Only under serious circumstances could the state deny their family a visa.
