a cool thing about art is that anyone can consider themselves an artist & anyone else can disagree with them. it's fine! genre & hierarchy are largely marketing &/or criticism tools. it's also just as valid to make art for pleasure as for profit/approval. just think about what matters most to you.

Last year the Japanese variety show Gaki no Tsukai had the famous singer Yoko Takahashi go undercover at a restaurant where she fooled everyone right up until she took the stage and belted out A Cruel Angel's Thesis, the intro song to Neon Genesis Evangelion. Just stunning.

Forgive the earnest post here, but one year ago this week, Global Tetrahedron took over The Onion. We've since brought back the paper and ONN, dramatically increased revenue, and hired more writers and artists.
But most importantly, as other places debased themselves, we refused to bend the knee.
