I asked the one high ranking policeman I saw on 5th Ave why there were so few police. He said “We did not expect anything like this. Don’t tell anyone but I’ve only got 44 officers out here — and it’s a great crowd, great event, no incidents.”
I have never seen anything like this in NYC. 5th Ave covered from 42nd St well to the 20s. Nobody prepared for this volume. Volunteers are holding the traffic on all the side streets. No police in sight. #handsoff

I downloaded a Kindle sample of Abundance (my library doesn’t have a copy yet) and so far, seems like a nice world except for, “Less work has not meant less pay.” I’m sure he’ll get to it, but who are we working for in 25 years?

I don't know, maybe if Chris and the rest of MSNBC had spent more time talking about what an incoming Trump administration would do instead of talking about how old Biden was we'd be in a different place now.
I know this is going to sound naive or earnest, but I genuinely find myself shocked by how little people seem to be upset by the levels of corruption we're seeing. Is that the median voter assumes everyone is corrupt already? Or isn't actually getting stories about the corruption?
