We are appalled at the firing of Carla Hayden. This is directly an attack on libraries and the freedom to read. Telling the true history of this country with books and artifacts and celebrating the accomplishments of all Americans is the most patriotic thing a librarian could do. Call your Senator.

I know this is going to sound naive or earnest, but I genuinely find myself shocked by how little people seem to be upset by the levels of corruption we're seeing. Is that the median voter assumes everyone is corrupt already? Or isn't actually getting stories about the corruption?

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

We just received word that the DOJ has begun removing data detailing criminal charges and convictions related to Trump loyalists. This started with records from the January 6th insurrection, but additional records are now being erased. We will keep you updated once we have more info.
