Attended the No Kings in Augusta, Maine. We were on the bridge separating two parts of town and lots of traffic. Suddenly all traffic stopped in both directions. Come to find out a Magat threatened to do harm. He was arrested, traffic restarted and we continued. No other incidents!

I am beginning to think this could be another "ear" moment. I am sorry for his family but I wouldn't be surprised by Trump and friends to do this to Kirk to distract from all the other stuff and stir up the base! Friendly fire so to speak!

Today is a beautiful DC August Saturday. It has almost no humidity. But I had lunch with a friend here and absolutely NOBODY is dining outdoors the restaurant was empty. Very few people walking on the streets too.

Had a member of the town Selectmen (small town) telling folks there will be no tax on overtime. I responded "not yet, and you better add more money to general assistance for people who won't be able to afford to feed their families and have no health care" He quietly conceded it was not true "yet".

Tiny Augusta Maine. Permit was for 600 and over 3000 showed up!! Hands Off!!!!

I read somewhere that a minor way to fight back is for everyone to stop posting photos of Trump and Musk and instead show their victims. They both thrive on publicity. Let's hit them where it will hurt their egos!

There appear to be at least three separately operating heel factions breaking things within the government in wholly different ways right now. There's the Miller-headed immigration one, the DOGE/Elon one, and a Project 2025 OMB one. This dynamic hasn't showed up in mainstream reporting at all.
