You might as well say you’re adapting Moby-Dick and then spend the whole first season just hanging out with Ishmael and Queequeg in New Bedford. I’d probably watch that, but I’d also be wondering when the hell the whales were going to show up.

When you say Heated Rivalry could have ended season one with a chaste kiss instead and then say “That is not the approach taken by Tierney” that’s because if Tierney did that it would be so far divorced from Rachel Reid’s book that it would be unrecognizable as the same story.

The thing about the Xmas stuff going into stores Nov. 1 is that even if you WANT to wait until a more civilized date for your holiday preparations, if you do, the shelves will be picked clean. Which is how I find myself in Target looking at ornaments the weekend before Thanksgiving.
