There was never any intention of bringing him or anyone back, the same way there was never an intention of reuniting families forcible separated in his previous administration. The cruelty is the point.
This is worse than sentence first, verdict afterwards. It’s verdict first (judicial order not to remove to El Salvador), sentence next (mistaken removal to CECOT), and finally retroactive nullification of verdict with no due process to accord with wrongful sentence. We are monsters.
NEWS: In today's declaration filed by the government in Kilmar Abrego Garcia's case, the govt still provides no information or past or current efforts to facilitate Abrego Garcia's return. Instead, an asst dir of ICE suggests that Abrego Garcia "is no longer eligible for withholding of removal."
