Where we stand, in long arc of history:

-Story on left, adding race as a factor when that favors white people.

-Story on right, banning race as a factor when that favors non-whites.

I often complain about NYT headlines and story-play. But these are strong. Including "If Court Guts 1965 Law."

Gonna say something obvious to most: real masculinity defends the defenseless, punches up not down, has compassion, and fights only on behalf of others to battle injustice or evil.

It doesn’t just lift weights and tweet in all caps and listen to Rogan and grow a beard to feel accepted by other men

Republicans in Utah commissioned an investigation into gender-affirming care for trans youth after banning it in 2023.

They're now rejecting the findings of that investigation which showed access to care reduced suicides and improved "positive mental health and psychosocial functioning outcomes."
Utah lawmakers’ own study found gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Will they lift the treatment ban?
The Utah Legislature's own newly-released study found that gender-affirming care benefits trans youth. Now, will lawmakers lift the treatment ban?

Liz Truss blew up the UK economy in 49 days and still thinks she’s qualified to write foreign policy fanfic.

Now she’s praising Trump like he’s Churchill with a spray tan.

The Telegraph really said: what if delusion had a byline?
Trump Has Not Been Proven Right About Pretty Much Everything
The Telegraph’s Trump apologia by Liz Truss trades facts for fantasy and calls it insight.

This picture of Whitmer is a legitimately stunningly perfect depiction of the Democratic Party right now. A bunch of fucking cowards capitulating and complying. Secretly totally on board with fascism while hiding behind their labels and “lesser of two evils you have no choice but to vote for me”.

Let me be VERY clear: if Americans can't access their Social Security Benefit, it isn't worth anything.

First they went after phone services — now the website keeps crashing. This is NOT acceptable.

Donald Trump knows that he owns these cowardly law firms. Here are a few recommendations:

Paul Weiss can litigate to bring children back in the mines.
Milbank can challenge clean air rules.
Willkie Farr can lead on spoiling the water.
Skadden is perfect to break the unions.

Shameful all.
Trump announced that as part of tens of millions of dollars of pro bono services law firms will be providing to him as a result of his shakedowns, law firms will work with coal companies on "leasing and other things"

If a law firm won't risk everything to defend itself, what makes you think it will risk anything to defend you?

My advice: Find a law firm that will not back down and will never bend a knee.

Yes! I heard that too and wanted to throw up.
NPR had some dinosaur democrat strategist on this morning saying how dems need to care more about “people who have their name on their shirt than people who have their pronouns in their email signature” and I wanted to punch the radio.

Not to get all hyperbolic, but between Trump’s “l’etat c’est moi” and Bessent’s “let them eat cake,” it does feel kind of pre-French Revolution-y around here.

Do you know why rural and working people are listening to Walz and AOC and Bernie?

Because they tell the damn truth. Because they are passionate about people. Because they are authentic. Because they care.

They are the new face of the opposition.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

REMINDER. Tomorrow, buy nothing (unless from a small biz). No gas, no food, no nada.

And even if you're outside the US, buy nothing from corporate companies and ESPECIALLY US ones. No Amazon. No Apple. No TK Maxx. No Coke! No Pepsi!

Please share. We need to do the en masse.
UNDERSTAND THE ASSIGNMENT: tomorrow, February 28th, is the Economic Blackout.

I ain’t buying shit. Plan ahead, but if you must buy essentials, use cash and support local businesses only. No corporate chains!
