Hey @mikecrapo.bsky.social and Senator Risch: I live in Idaho. With ACA subsidies I pay $775/month with a $3,000 deductible for healthcare. Without the ACA subsidies I will pay double that. As a self-employed woman that is unsustainable. Do you really want to throw Idahoans off healthcare???

I haven’t been on here for a little bit. Today seemed like a good day to pop on. Anything exciting happening today? 🫠

All of the morning shows talked about Biden’s cognitive decline at the end of his term, but not a single one segued into talking about 47’s clear mental decline.

I live just outside of a small town of about 700 people in North Idaho, and I just had incredible Chinese food at a restaurant attached to a gas station in that town.

It’s the little things.

So proud of Coeur d’Alene because there were a few hundred protesters out there tonight for May Day. In fact, they have constantly been out for every protest these last few months. In this area that’s a really big deal.

When will the media start seriously questioning the health—especially the mental health—of DJT?

I have a narcissistic mother who’s now in the grips of dementia. The parallels I see are hard to ignore: the compulsive lying, the outbursts, the rage when challenged. This deserves more scrutiny.

Hey media:

If your headline says “Putin declares Easter ceasefire in Ukraine” without also including the fact that Russian forces haven’t stopped fighting for even a second, you’re just helping his propaganda machine.

Reince Prebus on This Week denying that Republicans are being threatened for standing up to the orange menace is peak propaganda.

Here is the top comment on this article: “You are advising responsible honest people who have worked hard, saved all their lives… to scale down their retirement dreams because a one person has decided to destroy the US economy. Why not write an article about how to get rid of the real problem?”
How to Protect Your Retirement Savings Now as Markets Plunge
If you’re within five years of retiring, either before or after, you’re at your most vulnerable financially. Here are steps to weather the volatility.

Almost all NOAA Research websites that rely on cloud services - including Amazon, Google and WordPress - are poised to disappear at midnight ET Saturday after a contract was targeted for "early termination." Labs may also feel the effects.

Yes, the stock market may be tanking and our national security apparatus has never been more vulnerable and we're on the verge of both economic collapse and war, but it was all worth it to keep pronouns out of email signatures.

Here’s the thing about the tariffs: there will be no “short term pain”. Only long term. Every time a company realizes they can get away with charging you extra they don’t ever lower the price again. They just gouge. Whatever price hikes there are will be here for good.

Y’all look at the stock market after hours. The entire thing is tanking. Tomorrow’s gonna be 1000 point loss if this keeps up.

Truly a sad day for American diplomacy and alliances. An awful lot of us hate what’s going on and are deeply sorry. Hard to overstate the long-term damage Trump is doing.

I live in an obscenely red part of North Idaho (I know—that sounds redundant). Every so often, I have a little fun and dive into the comment section of a particularly divisive post and try to have a conversation with the MAGA cult. Today is one of those days. 🧵

Boundary County is the northernmost county in Idaho and shares a border with Canada. The largest city in the county, Bonners Ferry, has a billboard welcoming you to Trump country. The area heavily relies on Canadian tourism, which is down about 13% since January. 🪡🧵

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.
