This is the actual terrifying part of rfk's agenda...
When it comes to people with autism, particularly children, RFK Jr wants to make it easier for parents and quack doctors to "experiment" and force dangerous and unproven treatments on them.

And he wants to make it harder or outright illegal to counter disinformation that harms this industry.
i think people are missing the forest for the trees with this one. RFK Jr wants complete centralized knowledge of every American's health in order to exact control on what medications are allowed and in order to fabricate "evidence" for each and all of his nonsense theories.

Yeah...the consequences *were* dire. Get a spine. Ffs.
I wrote about the voucher vote, where Texas Republicans learned that hardball politics also applied to them. “If I voted against it I would have had every statewide and national political figure against me. Not to mention all of my bills vetoed." thebarbedwire.com/2025/04/18/t...
'The Consequences Were Dire:' In Voucher Vote, Texas GOP Finds Out Hardball Politics Also Apply to Them
Turns out when you spend years making sure the governor can crush enemies, you end up on the menu too.

If we’re going to get America out of this, might have to mass primary national Dems for people who give a shit, think fascism is Actually Bad, get the political and informational environment, and stand up for their voters’ values instead of normalizing, same washing, and kissing up to the opposite.
Can confirm. I generally think of myself as an institutionalist, but watching most Democratic leaders treat encroaching fascism like a stupid parlor game is beyond infuriating.
I think the Dem base’s anger at elected Dems for their bizarre, paralyzed accommodationism is building much faster than anyone realizes. Pressure rising, explosion may be imminent

I made this comment on a post about eggs and bird flu and the silencing of federal agencies. I don't want to lose it so I'm pasting it here. I'm so angry y'all, which I guess is better than despair? It's more motivating that's for sure...

From Josephine Lee last week: “There’s more than one way to get the voice of the people amplified. It’s not always at the ballot box. If we get such an overwhelming cry against this policy, I think you’re going to see House members tell the speaker not to let the policy come to the [House] floor.”
'They Bought a Legislature': What the GOP's Gains Mean for Vouchers in Texas
Republicans nearly ran the table in state House races, shoring up Governor Abbott’s school voucher majority for the 2025 session.
