Plus, arguably the most important thing to their success is all the NIL money.

They'd find another coach in this scenario, if they actually dumped him 1 year after a title win

... why do we want to see them succeed at all at anything? Why wouldn't we just want to see them pantsed?

You're way over thinking this, as ND fans we should want one thing and one thing only - for UM to lose every last game from here until eternity
November 26, 2025 at 5:34 PM
Why would we want to take this chance anyways
November 26, 2025 at 5:33 PM
I don't know the tie breakers at this point, but 10-2 UM that doesn't even go to the conf championship probably gets in

Everyone is making too much money to say the truth:

Creating two super conferences was a bad idea that almost no one but TV executives & conference higher-ups wanted. Now we have to figure out how to work around the mess they made

It's the same thing we say about Texas A&M's lack of games vs. top SEC teams this year. Nine conference games will help, but we also had Indiana last year.

This isn't really a Miami thing. Virginia didn't play Miami, Pitt, SMU or Georgia Tech. The draw of your conference schedule has too big an impact on the standings now, because they're too big. We don't actually know the best teams in a league anymore.

My favorite part, personally, is that conferences wanted at least 12 for the money a conference championship game would bring and then that game fucked over bubble teams in their conference. Masterful work.

“I’m sending I’m not receiving. Good day!”

People used to be able to get away with the shit in the past and I wish we still could now.

Also, who gives a shit if Ryan Day can or cannot beat them, they still won a title last year, it's not like it's blocking them from championship success anymore
November 26, 2025 at 5:28 PM
... is it? Because then UM makes the playoff
November 26, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Also, why not UW over Oregon?

What is also true is that it’s a huge country and there are many, MANY people living at the bottom of the social and economic ladder, and the world’s richest country can afford to lift them up, specifically because it is very rich and there’s a staggering amount of wealth to go around
