This is…brilliant.
In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

The Trump administration is reviewing Smithsonian exhibits on slavery, reportedly flagging materials like "The Scourged Back" − a powerful 1863 photograph of a formerly enslaved man's scarred back − for removal from public museums and national parks. buff.ly/q6JYITE
Slavery’s brutal reality shocked Northerners before the Civil War − and is being whitewashed today by the White House
Abolitionists used hard facts to counter pro-slavery propaganda, forcing indifferent Americans to face ugly realities.

Rep. Ro Khanna tells NBC he'll hold a press conference with survivors of Epstein's abuse and he'll call for Trump to meet with the survivors.

"On Tuesday what we're going to ask is for a president to meet with these survivors."

"I really think that's the right thing to do."

People are often stunned to learn I was raised Quaker and was married in a Quaker meetinghouse. My next book gives me an opportunity to
convey what Quaker history is all about: radical reform, civil disobedience, and from day one (in 1652), the importance of women’s voices. #quakers

This year, the CFPB brought the fewest cases against big banks and giant companies for cheating consumers in the history of the CFPB.

Trump and his hatchet man Russ Vought are letting grifters and scammers off the hook – and trying to kill the agency that would hold them accountable.

One of those "rapists and criminals" we hear so much about.

"Good morning Professor, I apologize for this late notice. The ICE raids in NYC have hit my family and it's been very stressful dealing with multiple things at once. If possible I would like to ask for one more day to submit."

What can you do to help? Donate to your local food bank. There are food banks in just about every community in the country, and now they are being used by federal workers who normally have jobs, but are furloughed because of the shutdown.
Families are already hanging by a thread, but the sad truth is it’s about to get a lot worse when SNAP benefits don’t go out in November.

It’s time to find our local food banks and help out with donations and volunteer hours if you are able.

Pro tip to reporters and protesters: always have swim goggles in your pockets or bags. They’re small, $10 and if tear gas is used, slip them on & no matter how much you cough, you’ll still be able to SEE without burning eyes.
