It's funny how almost all the 1900s and 1910s Anarcho Syndicalists ended up being Stalinists by the 1930s. Not just Stalinist, but directly involved in building police states.

You can learn everything you need to learn about "Anarcho Syndicalism" by reading into Hungarian history. They had one of the largest Anarcho-Syndicalist movements emerging from the "Galileo Circle".

And their members eventually... built one of the most repressive and brutal police states in Europe

The Soviet gulag system started as a form of prison abolition. Which is quite amusing. The Soviets wrote theatre plays and musicals about gulags. Praising how amazing it is that wrongdoers can gain "class consciousness" in them, and therefore prisons were no longer needed.

These things had style. We should have kept them around for ceremonial uniforms.

During the Napoleonic wars, tens of thousands of Hungarian soldiers travelled Europe. From Italy to Germany to the Low countries to France. There they noticed how underdeveloped Hungary was. Returning home, these veterans started demanding reforms. Which contributed to the 1848 revolution.

I am at a segment of a video where I have to draw Napoleonic era hats. I kinda love drawing those.

Prussians’ favorite child’s book.
If we’re replacing it, I have a suggestion…

In retrospect, the Lorax is the most disastrous children's book to have ever been written. The beloved book depicts economies of scale as destructive and environmental advocacy as failing to achieve any of your goals except being smug and correct in the end when industry burns itself out.

Hell no. He was funny. Greatest entertainment Europe ever had. But he pretty much wrecked the Italian state, and all his crap just unravelled during the Eurocrisis.
Would you consider Berlusconi to have been a stabilizing force in Italian politics too?

The E.U flag was designed by a French postman called Arsène Heitz. His design won a competition. What many don't know, he was a devout catholic, and his design was inspired by the 12-star halo of the Virgin Mary. That was very controversial when it was revealed. But by now it is just accepted.

Really should create a new video based on Adam Something’s video on Academia but instead it’s called “Why Academia is Liberal.”
I don't buy the "woke academia" narrative. The political bent really depends on where and what you study. Law schools tend to be conservative. Lots of Marxists in Anthropology. Political Science is dominated by liberals. Nobody should be surprised gender studies is full of critical theorists.
Is there any truth that communist infest collages, I’m from Texas and we definitely had some but also a lot of folks want to talk about Jesus.

For the last 30 years, throughout much of Western academia there have been a lot of leftwing academics who sidelined, belittled, and tried to lecture over scholars and dissidents of former communist countries, on the topic of communist tyranny. I think this is gradually coming to an end.
Chomsky is terrible. We chastise the "right" for not listening to experts, but here the far-left has been listening to a linguist about foreign policy and economics. It's ridiculous. He uses big words and seems to say the right things about "wealthy people bad"... then he's best buds with Epstein.

I remember when I learned that the first people the communists rounded up and murdered in Czechoslovakia in 1949 were all the Social Democrats and leaders of the anti-Nazi resistance. In a cynical move, the communists declared all of them were Nazis. And Western leftist fools just gobbled it up.
It's a classic trope that anti-communist Eastern Europeans are reactionaries, fascists, Nazi collaborators and who knows what else.

I'm thinking of all the nasty stuff in Chomsky's record.

Denying the Cambodian genocide. Supporting Milosevic. Denying the Bosnian genocide. Undermining anti-Communist dissidents in Western academia. Cheering the death of Venezuelan democracy. Spreading Russian propaganda.

This is long overdue.
Can't wait to see him whatabout this one.

My biggest shocker was reading the Nazi legal theorist Carl Schmitt and the raging antisemite Werner Sombart, and finding how much of their ideas are reflected in and influenced postmodern thinkers and critical theorists.

Have you ever noticed how the average rightwing Anarchist is always just a step away from making Hitlerian arguments about how the weak should dominate the strong, and the average leftwing Anarchist is always just a step away from Stalinist drivel about social justice through violent coercion?
More just baffled by their existence. I don’t really think they’re serious enough to be worth debating.

This line of though. This leftist myth that "lol the fascists are just dumb" is exactly why you are where you are. Because you didn't confront their ideas. From Carl Schmitt to Hoppe there are actual ideas that are the foundation of what these people do.

WHAT.
King Leopold II of Belgium, who is so infamous for the Belgian Congo colony, was a paedophile head of state. He paid servants to bring him underage virgin girls to rape.
