I said it before & I’ll say it again, Biden team & climate ppl made little effort to focus IRA on Dem-voting areas, putting far more subsidies into electric cars than transit, promoting greenfield manufacturing rather than infill development… & Dem cities lost out, relatively, & now everyone will.
I'd add that a focus on making places run by democrats that a lot of democrats live in richer and nicer rather than sending our money to red states and districts in the hope that doing so will persuade red voters to vote blue would help too bsky.app/profile/gary...
So many Dem leaders (and voters) would rather crater into autocracy than operate with the beliefs:
1. Your enemies are bad
2. They do objectively bad things on purpose
3. Either they win or you stop them
