The Trump Department of Agriculture is asking states to turn over information about SNAP recipients such as names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, addresses and more.

Now advocates in many states are urging their local officials not to turn over the data.

Amedisys is one of the largest home health providers and second largest hospice care provider in the United States.

UnitedHealth will now grow even bigger.

Food prices increased 23.6% from 2020 to 2024.

This is higher than overall inflation, which was at 21.2% during this period (and which was already near a record high).

Typical.

He fucks up the economy and he blames a Biden appointee.

Trump ordered the top labor statistics official to be fired because his job numbers suck.

It’s only going to get worse as the tariffs take hold.

If this goes through, say goodbte to Wired, Teen Vogue, Ars Technica, The New Yorker, Them, and Vanity Fair as you know them currently.

They'll be gutted and reoriented towards oligarch friendly propaganda.
Bezos is considering purchasing Conde Nast as a present to his now wife. Conde Nast owns not just Vogue but also Wired. Apparently, purchasing media to turn it into a propaganda organ is now the latest nuptial gift among the oligarchs.

I'm going to become the joker.

An EOP (Emergency Operations Plan) is a crucial part of preparedness. It identifies every possible threat that could occur, and creates a step by step plan on procedures, as well as info for mutual aid agreements with neighboring counties, etc. Not having one would be a mortal sin for an EOC.
Reporting this morning indicates a refusal on the part of local authorities in Kerr County to even identify if they had an emergency management plan (which would include how to perform an evacuation). Dereliction of duty is what this is. It's appalling.
This is even worse because its not as if they had to run through a wall of bullets. They just had to get to the camp, wake people up, declare the emergency and go park in a high spot.

People despise how artistic courage highlights their own cowardice. Thus, crave the art, despise the artist.
