Hospitals that are cutting off care to trans people under nineteen are the very definition of "complying in advance"—some, as I report in this story, even claiming, incorrectly, that Trump has "prohibited" gender-affirming care. Some of the best parenting advice I’ve found is: you don’t need to always know what to do, you need a guiding framework. Democrats have no guiding framework. They are making up every script as they go and they are absolutely terrified of appearing to have values.
