Dr. Peter Marks, recently pushed out of FDA, told us he believes the measles outbreak is being underreported. He says the case count is likely 3-7x higher, saying we could actually have as many as 3,000 cases. Yesterday, Sec'y Kennedy said we had 600+ cases and the outbreak was under control.

3 days ago RFK Jr. told the CDC to stop recommending water fluoridation, claiming it was a neurotoxin (this is a lie).

Turns out he also just eliminated the CDC’s entire Lead Program, and now lead poisoned children in Milwaukee are just on their own. Lead IS a neurotoxin and harms brain development
CDC denies help for lead poisoning in Milwaukee schools due to layoffs
The CDC rejected a request for help "due to the complete loss" of their lead poisoning experts.

If you need covid tests or know anyone who does, the current administration is going to stop the free test program as soon as it becomes cheaper to destroy them than store them. Right now, you can still order 4 free tests. COVIDtests.gov

Should we tell the Biology 101 failures in the Montana legislature that there are no “gene-based vaccines?”
This is the text of the Montana bill banning mRNA vaccines.

Scientifically inaccurate. Conceptually incoherent. Fearmongering nonsense. So it will likely pass.

JFC. Capping overhead at 15% and potentially making it retroactive?? Granted, I think some institution overhead rates are far too high, but this is going to break some labs and will have a significant impact on a lot of institutions.

⚠️ Patients with CGMs that use a smartphone should monitor their settings to make sure they are receiving their alerts and alarms when devices have software updates or are on DND.

This is particularly important education for patients who aren't tech savvy.

OpenAlex (openalex.org) and Lens (lens.org) similarly include all* PubMed records, as does @openaire.bsky.social (but less easy to filter in webUI)

Just dropping this here... any publication with a CC BY-NC 4.0 license can be distrubuted in any form that is not commercial. A CC BY-4.0 license can be adapted even for comerical purposes. All you have to do is cite the article and post the license... even if the article is retracted.
