The dove is dead, I promise. She/her/they/them/whatever idc. Antis can eat my whole ass. Fiction should never be censored. Yes even that one that makes you feel icky.

They're older than trees. And dinosaurs. And were maybe once as tall as the Himalayas.

Anything that old has to be riddled with spooky shit, obvs, but y'all. They are a SPECIAL KIND OF HAUNTED.
the Appalachian mountains are so ancient they predate the evolution of bones.
Man, everything is so bleak, anyone got a fun fact or little bit of trivia they want to share

Gee, don’t threaten us with a good time… 😏
AI advocates have warned that if every author in the class action filed a claim, it would "financially ruin" the entire industry.
Authors celebrate “historic” settlement coming soon in Anthropic class action
Advocates fear such settlements will “financially ruin” the AI industry.

Feeding spooders. No one is more afraid of their own food than some juvenile tarantulas. 🤨

Me: please, please eat the mealworm/cricket 😑

Spooder: hides, flicks hairs, runs away 🕷💨

some stuff is just supposed to make you *think*, you know? like I hear so many people now who don't seem to recognize what they're feeling other than "good" or "bad" in a given moment anymore, and I swear the vilification and cleansing of fiction under the guise of virtue is the biggest culprit.

sometimes the point of a story is to disgust you! sometimes it's meant to make you feel weird or outraged or confused! it doesn't mean you have to like it or even seek it out, but there is an emotional maturity that comes with knowing how to recognize and interact with these feelings thru fiction.

not every story is a parable, homie. there is not always a lesson or argument being made, nor some dark mechanism working to bend your principles in its favor. sometimes it's just an opportunity for you (and the author) to explore something strange and unusual from the safety of your couches.

thing about autism is if you work really hard for many years, you can learn through trial-and-error how to navigate social situations and interpersonal connections SO effectively that people don't really believe you're autistic anymore and resent you for not being perfect at nonverbal communication

Time for the obligatory George Carlin quote:
