Breakfast of Champions in the Guadalajara airport, 6am. I’m going to need the sugar and the caffeine for this trip

One more clip of the very pretty mall where @faelo23.bsky.social’s parents first met! Guadalajara, Mexico

We’re hanging out at an outdoor shopping mall in Guadalajara, and they’re making it “snow” for the Mexican children - it’s like some kind of foam? The babies are loving it

Having dental work done in Mexico, as one does, and this clinic is clearly proud of their good strong plumbing, because this is very much not the system in many parts of Mexico.

So I’m sitting here and I’m happy about that. And five other Americans are also here, hanging out in a very chill way, and as we chatted with each other a bit, we all said some variation of “I’m glad I’m not cooking a fucking turkey today”

Yes, this is a pretty view of Lake Chapala. The lake is about 50 miles long and 8 miles across. The peak on the right is Mt Garcia, a non-active volcano

There’s a big party in town all this week so far, we’re not sure why exactly? But the main stage in the central square is rocking! (View from the mirador of my lodging)

The COLOR of light here is just lovely mmmm

My travel companion is amused by my night-lights, but hey, when you’re staying in places with uneven floors, THIS is how you don’t stub your toe or turn your ankle in the middle of the night. I always travel with such necessities

A slightly different angle on the shore of Lake Chapala, at sunset

The view from my roof deck: Sunny Sunday in Mexico
November 23, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Spent a perfect gorgeous sunny day here, exploring all along the blue line, up and down the lakeside area of Lake Chapala. Mountains on one side and the lake on the other, it’s really pretty and quaint 🌟

So today on Bluesky, it’s the search feature that doesn’t work. Sigh. Anyone else having this issue?

It is dark and rainy out but I am packing to go to MEXICO on Saturday, for TWO WEEKS!
I’m very pleased and excited. We’re going to spend a few days in Mazatlan and then go to Guadalajara and the Lake Chapala area

So this morning, one of my bird feeders was broken, so I dumped the remaining seed into a bin and stepped out to the garage to get a replacement for it (because of course I have one).
And I was gone for like three minutes max, but look who got there in the interim! Guess that’s his seed now

Yikes! Looking at the Seattle power outage map! Maybe I should have stayed in Atlanta. (But seems like my house still has power, thank goodness)

Today in tiny victories: I’m at my mom’s in Atlanta, and I drove us to Costco, and I got THE BEST parking spot I’ve ever gotten at a Costco and so I’m sharing that joy with you

Hey South Park fans: whose picture is it that is hanging above Satan’s bed? Cannot identify

Hawk stayed around for several minutes, just checking things out, and I thought: I would feed you if I had anything that I thought you would eat. He wasn’t much interested in the seed. I didn’t have any mice or anything handy

Okay this is a visually cluttered shot, and that bothers me artistically, but look at the HAWK I found just hanging out on my rail, while this SQUIRREL is just like ho hum I’m not scared, where’s the food, lady?
