I find reading bad books interesting in its own way so I’ll probably end up finishing it. Baffling this is such a popular book though.

Annoying affectations aside, this is just a bad book. There's no emotional weight to the existential terror of being abandoned on another fucking planet. Just a list of logistical problems and setbacks to think his way through. It's just boring.
