I was very lucky to be randomised onto Paxlovid on a trial last year. It works very well and not only reduced length of COVID symptoms and testing +ve, but also the lingering effects I had from my first infection.
The gouging needs to stop so that important meds are affordable.

Paxlovid costs it’s manufacturers $13 to make, it’s research and development was FULLY Funded by the US Government.
They now charge $1651.99 a dose, a 126x markup.
In Germany it is $60 and they still make big profits.
This is privatized medicine... hell.
