My downstairs neighbor moved out. She wasn’t a bad neighbor, just a noisy & smelly one. She used air fresheners & deodorizers to cover for marijuana so her apartment STANK, & since the ventilation is connected between apartments, my apartment stank too. & she had grandkids who visited every weekend.

After buying it for $18.8 billion, Walgreens' new private equity owner has eliminated paid holidays for all hourly workers on Christmas and New Year's.

Last year, Walgreens had a CEO-to-Worker pay gap of 410 to 1.

Corporate greed that would make even Scrooge blush.

I thought Republicans supported parents making decisions for their children. They campaigned on “Parental Rights“ FFS. But when a parent supports their transgender child with doctor recommended care, suddenly their rights don’t matter?
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Thursday unveiled a series of regulatory actions designed to effectively ban gender-affirming care for minors, building on broader Trump administration restrictions on transgender Americans. https://to.pbs.org/4pOr8lp

January 6 was like a much dumber version of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and yet a plurality of American voters were like, Yeah, let’s give that guy the nuke codes again. An absolutely world historical debacle of societal ignorance. I’ll never understand it.

Trump is in his own Truman Show. The people around him are creating a false reality for their benefit. The grifters are circling, sensing his weakness to flattery, and the plain fact that Dementia Don has no idea what’s happening in the real world.
President Donald Trump was awarded the inaugural FIFA Peace Prize on Friday during the final draw for the 2026 World Cup.

800+ flights cancelled today because Elon took a chainsaw to the federal government and Trump won’t pay the remaining airport personnel.

Elon’s on his way to becoming a trillionaire.

Trump’s net worth has more than doubled inside a year.

Glad everything worked out for them.

How about you?

This is an incredible LIE being told by the guy that manages the agency that oversees the ACA. It's obscene how easily, how frequently and how dramatically these Trump folks lie to us.

✅Fact check from the extremely reliable @kff.org (& no, KFF did not retract this.)

Cost to fund SNAP and keep 42 million people from starving:

$100 billion

Cost of lost revenue due to tax cuts for the richest Americans in the top 1%:

$100 billion

One is decried as "welfare." One is not.

Why?

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

This is the real reason for wage stagnation. Corporate greed. Robbing the working class to pay the wealthy.
The CEO-to-worker pay ratio at S&P 500 companies last year was 285-to-1. The median employee would have had to start working in the year 1740 to earn what the average CEO received in 2024. Is it any wonder why so many think the system is rigged?
