Donny Dotard doesn't know where he is half the time, never mind where anything other than MAGA-Lago and Trump Tower are. I just wanna know how soon until he starts talking about his casino in the present tense.
There are a few problems with Senile Satan’s post. The biggest is that he’s deploying troops to the Miracle Mile shopping center in Chicago. There’s no such thing. There’s one in LA and one in NY.

In other words, 8 Ds ran cover for however many other Ds who wanted the shutdown to end because the 8 that voted because they knew they were safe for now knew, as did the 8 they covered for, that this was a terrible idea that was going to receive deafening pushback.

But they did it anyway.
Yup. I said this earlier today, but it was only a guess. Thanks for confirming it. It is no coincidence that of the 8 who came forward to do this, none of them are running in 2026. But they ran cover for some who are.

Pretty well split down the middle, which is not surprising given that it's a bit of an austere budget, and a very conservative one as well, but one that focuses on strengthening Canada and internalizing our primary supply chain while programs to rapidly build housing kick off.
Satisfaction With The Budget:

Satisfied: 37%
Dissatisfied: 36%

Neutral: 20%

Good. Unfortunately he's not likely to turn any of the Republcians he'd need to shoot the deal down, but the shot's gotta be taken.

Miller-Meeks gets some well-deserved heckling from her constituents, yet in true cement-headed Republican fashion, she persists as though she's in the right and everyone else is wrong, pulling the dog-eared, well-worn "but Biden" card again.

She is part of the reason the waves are so blue.

The party has long needed a shake-up. The Old Guard, as Old Guards has old ideas. The party needs fresh perspectives from new blood. It's time to get rid of the Chuck Schumers of the party and amplify the and Jasmine Crocketts and AOCs of the party. THAT is the real future of the Democrats.
New in PN: Cue the rebellion

"The unfortunate conclusion to the shutdown is going to fuel a rebellion within the Democratic Party, one that has already begun but will only get stronger. And despite all the justified disgust now being expressed at Dems, in the long run it will be good for the party"
Cue the rebellion
The Democratic base is enraged at their party's capitulation — and that's a good thing.

Fugly. Beyond fugly. A hideous insistence upon itself. A physical representation of a visual migraine. An obscene display of wealth in the People's House that rubs its people's faces in it. Decor only the fashiest of oligarchs could love.
Look at what this garish, classless, tasteless fool has done to the People’s House.

Trump is just talking out his ass again, trying to throw the people a bone in the hopes of staving off the revolution for a few more days. The chance of him actually cutting those cheques is zero.
This entire article points out that there is no plan. His own Treasury Secretary says he doesn’t know anything about it. So why does media keep running these kind of headlines? He keeps making these Truth Social posts and media keeps running stories as if it is something real.

He's never not looking for ways to royally screw people over. Every penny given that they are retroactively owed is, to him, a penny taken from his own pocket. How can he even legally justify not giving back pay to workers who worked without pay for more than a month? That's called slavery.

Trump administration has explored ways to prevent furloughed workers from getting back pay, despite 2019 federal law requiring back pay, including through a draft memo last month that White House press secretary said did not entitle federal workers to retroactive pay.
Trump addresses financial concerns of air traffic controllers working without pay for more than 40 days
The president, whose staff explored ways to skirt a law requiring backpay for federal workers after the shutdown ends, said "they all knew the money is coming."

This is as it should be. 100% Canadian suppliers and contractors *should* be the default. Being our own best customers increases demand from our own suppliers, manufacturers, and contractors, which in turn boosts Canadian manufacturing output, which in turn lowers prices as supply meets demand.
🔴 WOW! Great opportunities soon, for a TON of Canadian companies! 🇨🇦 ✅

🔳 PM CARNEY: "Whenever the Canadian Govt. spends, we will select Canadian suppliers by default."

THIS IS HUGE!

The real irony is the first bullet point, Trump being the poster boy for the left side of said scale.
November 11, 2025 at 1:57 PM
Actions, meet consequences.
There’s real irony in this: lawmakers can’t get back to DC to vote to reopen the government because flights are canceled, thanks to the same shutdown they caused.
November 11, 2025 at 1:56 PM
Trump doesn’t prepare for anything. He has no concept of anything beyond the here and now and the general goal of continuing to acquire more wealth and power. Everything done in service to that is flown in from the generous seat of his pants.

His extreme hyperbole aside, of course.
So he’s saying all the tariff money we took in is gone and we won’t be able to pay it back. There was always a possibility he could lose this lawsuit and have to refund the tariff money. We didn’t prepare for that possibility? He’s running the govt like he ran his casinos.

Wow. In one of the reddest states in the nation, even. Good for the Utah courts who still apparently believe in the fair application of the law.

I guess that means the Republicans have to be more circumspect int their partisan gerrymandering then.

ICE prisoners, children, infants, and toddlers included, are treated as less than human.

They aren't "detention facilities." They're prison camps, the people there treated little better than the Nazis treated the Jews. Hungry, sick, overcrowded—livestock are treated better than they are.
Not many people are talking about the children being harmed by #ICELawlessness but it's important to talk about.

What's happening to these kids is being paid for by our tax dollars.

We're paying for the torture of children.

I know this is beyond grim, but we must let people know about this!

It was Chuck Schumer who convinced these senators to cave to the GOP deal.

You know who voted against the GOP deal? Chuck Schumer.

His reasoning? Because it did nothing to protect ACA subsidies or otherwise lower healthcare costs.

You can't make this up. Chuck needs to GO.

That use of that land was effectively gifted to the US in perpetuity in 1951 (retroactive to Jan 1, 1950), so while it's not considered US soil, the US can manage that land as it sees fit, including racist bullshit like this.
How does the US have any jurisdiction over a cemetery in another country even if it is an American cemetery...
