Protecting our neighborhoods from the invasions and random violence of ICE agents might be a nice goal for a future date but we have to stick to realistic, achievable aims, like making it impossible for a Senator (that's me!) to ever be held accountable for anything he does, even literal crimes.

Your understanding of detective work is based entirely on copaganda shows lmao
"Hi I'm Detective Bob, I'd like to talk to you about a murder" *bang*
You'd end up with armed cops escorting detectives everywhere.

Yeah that's totally fair. There's a bunch of good candidates, which is nice to have. Wish there was RCV.

If I lived in the district, I would probably vote for Kat at this point, but were she not running, I would happily vote for Biss with no qualms, at least none related to Israel.

Good. Not as good as Kat, probably on par with Schakowsky, but he's an Israeli-American critic of Israel, so not a bad guy to have in the House.

"McAdams gets a term in the House to prep for a Senate run in 2028" is probably the steel man case for his candidacy.

Makes sense. Is the Asian population of the district internally diverse, or is it mostly one group?

4) Gendarmerie. Paramilitaries with training for highly dangerous situations and protecting fixed high-security locations. These guys are soldiers, they show up when there's going to be active shooting, and if they do, there's a good chance they're killing someone. They do not do patrol at all.

3) Bureau of Investigation. They investigate crimes more complex than "we grabbed a guy trying to shoplift an armload of condoms." Unlike local forces, they are employed on a statewide basis, require college education, and are a white-collar analytical workforce. No guns: why would they need those?
