In the fall the war was always there, but we did not go to it any more.
It's very important that the Great State of Maine know whether or not Platner's shooting blanks, so this killed two birds with one stone.

Wait does this mean there'll be a third episode?

The top comment is the answer to the bottom one.

Weirdly, given how many of their arguments tend to revolve around 'we were closer to fascism under Bush II,' they could be taking the victory laps now by pointing out the continuities with Trump II but they can't run the risk of pleasing John Ganz.

Some Generations just can't be constrained or made to conform, and therefore run these sorts of X-risks.

Great cover.

What's funny is that there's significant overlap between these guys and the people who point out leftists are always punished for being prematurely correct.

I'm sure the generation that preceded millennials wasn't annoying, but was actually very cool, an entire generation of latch-key lone wolves who had to raise themselves and didn't even have access to water from a tap inside the house.

Gotta do to ICE/CBP what the Texans did to Rodgers last night for sure.

Better invest a few thousand more hours before coming to a conclusion.

I'm glad that the false claimant to the 'creator of Dilbert' crown has released his claim, leaving only Dilbert's one true creator: Mattie Lubchansky.

But what if this leads to me having to hear a language other than the one in which I am fluent, even in my own neighborhood? What about that?

This mf said 'want to male'
January 13, 2026 at 3:06 PM
They're at wits' end because the messages they want to male aren't compatible with that position. If they wanted what their voters wanted they wouldn't be having this trouble.

We're gonna bring manufacturing back to this country to keep up with the demand for these awards.

It's also a way to guarantee she'll continue to be covered in the ways that are clearly bothering her. The only way for Bari Weiss to 'be the news' is to subject herself to the sort of scrutiny and criticism she can't handle.

You're right, and I'm sorry, there *are* some silver linings:

I think a lot of them don't read the replies, and the others think that chuds are the common clay of the new West and deserve to have their every complaint addressed.
