My personal views only, but I'd suggest the following:

(1) a blanket ban on detecting on land that's in any form of environmental stewardship or landscape recovery scheme - because heritage is part of the environment those measures are meant to be protecting
🧵
How about "Where is our heritage demonstrably most risk from metal detecting"? It isn't lost, it's part of the archaeological record.

Good to hear yesterday from @sundersays.bsky.social and @petergeoghegan.bsky.social on the immense risk of X as it ignores legal obligations and its owner tries to influence UK politics.

Millionaires group urge Reeves to introduce wealth tax to ‘lift kids of out poverty’.

But Govts listen to the City type.

1% have more wealth than 70% of the population.
Poorest 20% pay higher proportion of income in taxes than the richest 20%.

Can't grow economic by squeezing the bottom 50%.
Why a group of wealthy Brits have urged Reeves to introduce a wealth tax
This appeal comes ahead of Reeves’s upcoming Budget announcement in Westminster later this month
