The lack of media literacy from a supposedly talented author that's displayed here is astonishing. Casino Royale explicitly opens with Bond gaining his 00 status. It's clearly a reboot. Later in the series he encounters Blofeld *for the first time* and it's clearly not the same guy from the 60s...
