Great idea not to mention that the entire saving was made in the year ending March 2025, two months before Reform took over.

Then why isn’t Israel?

Sounds like it's time for a pro-EU campaign so that @uklabour.bsky.social have a mandate to drop this manifesto farce.
Cathy Newman, "Can you see a time when a Labour government will advocate joining the EU Single Market and Customs Union?"

Stephen Kinnock, "Brexit has been a huge act of economic self harm"

"But we had red lines in our manifesto around the EU Single Market and the Customs Union"

.......and the solution is.......?
👏 Keir Starmer PM: "How Brexit was sold and delivered was wrong. Wild promises were made to the British people and not fulfilled."

"The idea that leaving the EU was the answer to all our cares and concerns has clearly been proved wrong."

So why hasn't Labour been trumpeting this over the rooftops?
After the disastrous Truss mini-budget, the FTSE 100 LOST about 2.3%.

After Rachel Reeves budget last week, the FTSE 100 CLIMBED about 0.9%.

The markets don’t aren't listening to opposition and media distortions.

It's bad enough if you just look down the left column but the right one adds a different perspective.

When is the right time to draft a UK Constitution?
How long would the process take - given its importance?
There is a serious, principled case for a codified constitution, for some of the reasons George sets out.

But botching together a constitution to stop Farage - a constitution that could not command widespread support and that was widely seen as rigged - would deepen our problems, not resolve them.🧵
We're facing a political emergency: a high likelihood of an shamelessly authoritarian government in 2029. So we urgently need this basic safeguard: a codified constitution.
This week's column explains what we're missing and why it's so important.

The reason the top 10% of income earners pay more than half of all tax revenue is NOT because they are taxed more than ever.

Their tax rate has been cut FIVE times in the last 25 years.

They are paying more because their INCOME has increased astronomically, where the income of the bottom half has

Ex-Twitter seems to have gone full on white, mysoganistic, Christian fundamentalist.
Could have been my mistake in telling some to be tolerant and love their fellow man.

I should know better.......

Now I'm no economist nor politician but isn't there a simple, pragmatic solution to this?
The negotiations won't be simple nor easy of course but it would seem to be in the UK's best interests.
And recent polls would suggest it is also "the will of the people".

Probably won’t see this in mainstream media - aka the right wing press - coz it’s against their narrative. Wind energy in Britain broke a new record last week with nearly 23GW on the grid one cold windy evening. That was 56% of all electricity on Britain’s grid.

If there is a serious gap between revenues in the UK and tax paid the Inland Revenue should be given the power to refer the issue to a jury and let them decide how much tax it is reasonable for the company to pay. Companies like Starbucks need fierce rules that can't be dodged.
But if the government start taxing the likes of Starbucks & they leave, Are we seriously saying that Britain will stop drinking coffee?

£3 billion in UK sales & they don't want to pay tax?

It's time to get of the merry-go-round & use our smaller, local retailers who will pay their taxes.

So the image is believed to have been taken during a Tory Gvmnt.
But the headline suggests it's news and therefore current.
"Reputational Damage" springs to mind.
Certainly a mis-leading article.
Also they're not criminals! They're human beings who are allowed to have fun while in a difficult situation
There is so much messed up about this front page Express story today.

There's no suggestion or evidence ANY alcohol or drugs was consumed. This is literally just people dancing.

And buried in the piece: "The footage is believed to have been filmed just before Labour took power in July last year."
