i bought a video game called "baby steps" and i'm going to regret it because i'll almost certainly be terrible at it and it will piss me off, and i'll play it for like 15 minutes before giving up. but it just looks so goddamn funny.

i have a coupon for 10% off a board game website but they're doing a huge sale right now and the coupon can't be used on sale items. would this be considered a first world problem?

my answer to this is a silly sci-fi book by keith laumer called "time trap." at age 14-ish i thought sci-fi was basically star trek or flash gordon type stuff. time trap was so weird and mind-blowing for me that it really got me interested in reading more sci-fi and eventually writing as well.

for me every story is different. some stories i could write the last chapter first and not change a word, other stories i don't really have the ending figured out until i'm writing it. usually i have a pretty good idea before i start the project, but things can always change.

i actually did some miniature painting today, as i'm still desperately trying to get more of my shadows of brimstone minis done. i'm also still writing during my lunch break at work and hopefully will have 8 chapters of my new novel done by the end of the year.

seeing all the #JoeVember2025 posts reminds me that i really should get back into making my silly gi joe comics. i haven't done much with my gi joes in a very long time. my board game hobby takes up most of my free time these days.

i'm going through my best friend's magic cards and he said he had a card worth $220 which is pretty cool. turns out he actually owns two copies of it, which is also cool. but when i looked it up, it appears the card is only worth $12. not sure how i'm going to break the news to him, haha.

this is funny to me. apparently people didn't know this was originally artwork from the lord of the rings. i assumed everyone already knew the wizard was saruman, in fact i thought that was part of the joke.

honestly i don't mind it when youtube shows me 12 commercials in a 15 minute video. but what exactly is the point of showing me the same commercial 12 times? all that does is piss me off and guarantee i will never buy that company's products.

you know what i really love? when i click "submit" on a website for something really important and/or expensive, and it just does the little loading spinning circle thing for a long time and never loads, so i don't know if it actually went through or not.

i don't watch television series at all, so i've never seen breaking bad, game of thrones, the office, or any of the other million shows from the past 25 years or so. (i have seen a few animated shows like archer and rick and morty though)

i don't watch television series at all, so i've never seen breaking bad, game of thrones, the office, or any of the other million shows from the past 25 years or so. (i have seen a few animated shows like archer and rick and morty though)
