Brexit: “that great victory for the sovereign right to cock things up”… give ourselves food poisoning, lose control, swamp ourselves in red tape, pay more for stuff and stubbornly isolate ourselves from our own continent…

A relentless, ruinous stupidity.

I am a little bored with the 'What About Brexit?' bombardment tbh but you really can't talk about the UK's "deep economic scars" without bloody mentioning it. Unless you're the BBC, apparently. Its negative impact is not an opinion, it's counting.

YouGov find just 30% of people think we were right to leave the EU. The lowest number yet.

Just 10% of 18-24 year olds think it was the right decision.

Joining the EU Single Market Could Be the Gamechanger for Keir Starmer’s Government

Both the UK economy and the new Labour Government needs an urgent shot in the arm. Could this be the solution?

2/3rds of the people in the UK on 'benefits' are State Pensioners.

Of the other 1/3rd 60% are working.

The other 15% are the long term disabled people that you get in every country.

Don't listen to the Daily Mail.

Rachel Reeves: "What's Farage's answer on the economy? How is he going to make working people better off? How's he going to grow the economy? He's not got the faintest"

Biggest lesson of EU Referendum - that rationality does not in & of itself trump vision/emotionality - still goes unlearned. Why?

They've ennobled furious gonad Toby Young, who demanded the Tories launch his money-saving Free Schools idea, then took 9 years to submit accounts, which proved his money-saving idea cost 10x as much as the system it replaced.

If anyone doubted that Badenoch is an idiot, the Toby Young nomination confirms it. Just the shabbiest, most dimwitted option available and she jumped right for it.

The tweets start in 2009 - Young was 45 at the time.

Actually staggering that this foghorn of failure should continue to speak in public, let alone consider himself entitled to comment on what Labour may or may not renegotiate on HIS unforgivably dismal, relentlessly crappy Brexit deal.
Unless he’s apologising for that, he can stfu forever, frankly.

‘Betraying Brexit’
Such a moronic accusation.
What does it even mean?
Having a functioning relationship with our own continent?
Not being diplomatically incontinent?
Finding ways to collaborate and improve opportunities, travel and trade?
Great.
Brexit betrayed us
Very happy to betray it right back.

BBC’s Chris Mason calls Farage a “master of storytelling”
Maybe the BBC could stop helping him out and tell another story. One about a grifting prejudiced conman who’s wrecked our country with his ‘Breaking Point’ Brexit but has never been held to account for the lies he’s told, the damage he’s done.

Political scammers operating in plain sight with absolutely no clue about governance or wider public responsibility.
