I'm glad I'm not the only one - I tell my students that it isn't inevitable that you arrived at class this morning, how on earth can something in history be inevitable....
Here’s a word I hate as a #historian: “inevitable.” I have yet to see a turn of events whereby the outcome was inevitable. If you read this word in a work of history, I would be skeptical of the author’s claims. #cdnhist #history
