DOJ broke the law today by refusing to produce all the Epstein files. It also broke the law by redacting information other than to protect victims. Yet, the corporate media is acting that DOJ did us a huge favor.

Now, more than ever, help build independent, pro-democracy media. hubs.ly/Q03CbHTt0

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

This should alarm everyone.

On Thursday, Florida, by unanimous vote, became the first state in the country to adopt “The Phoenix Declaration: An American Vision for Education.”
It was written by the Heritage Foundation, the same group behind Project 2025.

Trump’s latest target? The Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, one of America’s last truly wild places. His administration just announced plans to open it up for oil and gas drilling, turning 1.56 million acres of pristine wilderness (home to polar bears, caribou, and migratory birds)

Voters should pick their representatives, not the other way around. Glad to get the chance to talk to some of the volunteers and organizers doing the hard work to make sure Prop 50 passes. This vote will have critical implications, not just for California, but for our entire country.

Democracy requires decency.

Our democracy is devolving because we neglected to demand common decency of the most powerful individual in our country; the President.

Trump hosted a dinner last week for White House ballroom donors.

Then he went to Mar-a-Lago for a $1 million-per-person dinner benefiting his super PAC.

Last night, he treated big GOP donors to dinner on his new White House patio.

The government has been shut down for 22 days.

Trump has now murdered 34 people in international waters.

No one has any idea if any were criminals, and of course it doesn't matter, because it was a war crime to kill even a single one of them.

Drug trafficking is a felony, but it's not a violent crime and isn't punishable by summary execution.

Sorry... what’s he “satirizing”?

First Amendment speech? The dozens of cases he’s lost because federal judges see him as a would-be dictator—as did the last Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? The failed F-47? His own infamous incontinence?

What’s your next sentence, Mike? What’s he satirizing?
Speaker Johnson defends Trump's AI video of him dumping feces on protesting Americans: “The president uses social media to make a point. You can argue he's probably the most effective person who's ever used social media for that. He is using satire to make a point.”
