Definitely going to give the podcast a listen, but have to admit the series is still parked in my TBR pile. There aren’t enough hours in the day lately for all the things I enjoy, like reading.
Writing as a roadtrip with your characters, telepathy as neurodiversity, surpernatural sapphic conception!

You're going to love this convo I had with @serenajbishop.bsky.social ! Check out her next book "Project Duplicity" releasing on Nov 18 www.serenajbishop.com

i just read something about grief from C.S. Lewis and his book, “A Grief Observed”

basically, when someone you love dies, it isn’t just them that you miss, but the parts of yourself that person brought out of you that can never be brought out again.

i feel that with my dad.

Me too. Most elderly folks receiving Social Security get about $23/mo of SNAP. There’s an entire YouTube channel based around that. How do I know? I found it when looking for help on how to make my dad’s $23 stretch as far as possible. And if they are working they usually get denied for that, even.
Some are mad because people are on SNAP and not working.

I’m mad because people are on SNAP even though they are working.

If donating mac & cheese do the varieties with the processed cheese so no milk or butter is required. Canned meats, especially chicken and tuna, can be used with most “hamburger” helper flavors. I’m saying these things as someone who has been here before and had to make the best of whatever I had. 🧵

Exactly how I felt when I saw K Log was trending and then realized he was fine. Equally relieved to learn he didn’t give permission for his work to be used with that AI slop.
Kenny Loggins is trending OH FUCKING NO WAY IS HE DEAD I WILL CUT A BITCH AND—.... He’s fine. He’s fine. Whew.

For those just tuning in, I’d like to point out that this should not be a surprise. 🇺🇸

I lost my mother to cervical cancer in 2021. She was only 62. If she’d had the HPV vaccine, I might have had more years with her. I hope RFK Jr dies a horrible, slow, painful death. Maybe if I’m good the Universe will give me the joy of it being an HPV cancer.
My brother and a good friend got throat cancer via HPV. They would have welcomed gardasil.

RfK Jr is a know nothing quack

I heard “Silent Running” by Mike + The Mechanics on a local radio station. Haven’t heard it on the radio in years. I was obsessed with that song as a kid, but as an adult in 2025 it hit me quite differently. I did not expect the emotional response it caused.

I’m in need of a brush-up on these topics and plan to utilize these free courses. I’ve had my venting session these past few months and now it’s time to focus. I have to help myself so I can help others.
I'm a big fan of Education. Especially when it's Free.
Love it all the more when it's Quality, like Harvard.
Here are some great classes, free to the public.

When I earned my weather forecasting certificate from PSU, I had a professor praise my explanation of how a sea breeze forms. Now I spend my summers working in an area where I can observe the process unfold in real time. It’s really magical in its own way and is helping my mental health.

I realized I’ve been lurking on BlueSky and not posting much. I’m in the midst of allowing myself to believe the Toronto Maple Leafs have a solid chance at the Stanley Cup and I don’t want to jinx it.

I have said something similar quite often in the past few years.
I keep my head down and turn out good work and I just barely made rent this month, but a lady calls a kid the n-word at a playground and she raises a half-million dollars in a week. I don't get the world, and I don't like it. We are surrounded by rotten dogshit assholes and they're thriving.

I spent some time searching Maryland case search for the supposed criminal history of Abrego Garcia and I came up with nothing. It wouldn’t show federal charges since it’s a state database, but my understanding was this happened on the word of a PG Co LEO saying he had state charges. 🧵

It concerns me how much damage could be done with all this chaos. “Don’t know what you’ve got, ‘til it’s gone.”
“The Post spoke with 10 employees across the Weather Service …. Concerned with leaks to the media, the administration is installing monitoring software on NOAA employees’ devices to track their communications, two current employees said.”

National Weather Service buyouts will leave gaps as storm season ramps up
Some meteorologists and public officials warned that reductions, which leave the agency nearly 20 percent smaller, could have deadly consequences.

There is a brand based in California, High Sierra Showerheads, who make low-flow shower heads that pressurize the available water pressure into an amazing shower experience. I wouldn’t expect him to know about an American brand with an ecological focus that has a solution to his problem.
Tackling the truly pressing issues of today… shower heads. Trump, long a vocal opponent of low-flow plumbing and a frequent commentator on flow issues, continues his crusade against weak flow.

If your local National Weather Service office has paused or canceled spotter training this year, here’s a great option! 🌪️

@comet-meted.bsky.social has teamed up with the National Weather Service (NWS) to develop a (totally free!) online storm spotter certification course. 🌪️⛈️⚡️

20+ years of the Patriot Act and my online presence means they should have reached the same diagnostic conclusions as the mental health professionals I’ve engaged with. 🤷‍♀️

A local paper recently did a special piece about two sisters in our county aged 102 and 104. Both are very active and healthy for their age; one of them regularly volunteers. So yes, Junior, thoughts and prayers to them.

To Ron’s question: I think he is really dumb but also knows lies work.
Do you think he’s just really dumb or does he just knowingly lie all the time?
