That’s why I tend to think of my approach to historical memory in some sense as “popular historiography.”

If anything, the book shows there is no one correct way of viewing the Revolution. Instead, as Jessica points out, it’s more a survey of the many ways Americans have interpreted the Revolution and how circumstances have impacted those changing interpretations.

Thanks for the super kind words!! 😀 Been a supporter since 1998 and raised my two sons as Arsenal supporters from birth. They’re 19 and 18 now and we still watch every match together. I actually had one of the first American Arsenal blogs back in 2006-11 before I went to grad school.
