For some reason provision of shelter is not considered in the function of society. Imagine suggesting a bird 🦅 not allowed 🚫 a tree 🌳 somewhere to rest, raise be part of a family! It is a basic need of any life. The housing bubble needs to be corrected so all have shelter a place to call home 🏡.

Fastest growing group among the homeless in Australia is women over 55. They are driven to it by a lifetime of putting other people’s needs ahead of their own right to earn an income. Something they were told to do from birth & as women are still told to do.
In my upcoming book, I show that, beginning in the 1980s, framing homelessness as a problem of mental illness and addiction was politically engineered to obscure the socioeconomic roots of the crisis and to justify the removal of homeless people from public space.
