A physician friend just told me that a company in SC is hiring doctors at $400,000/year to work with insurance companies to try to figure out how to deny service to their patients.
If this isn't a compelling rationale for single-payer, Medicare for All, I don't know what is.

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.
