THE MASTERMIND (2025): needlessly glacial film which for some reason sought to put together the least possible interesting treatment of a heist. set-up quite promising but there was zero interest in following up on any of it. aesthetics were enjoyable at least

AFTER THE HUNT (2025): Julia Roberts soldiers through a film which seems to have very little idea what message it’s trying to communicate. She lives in New Haven’s dingiest but most opulent apartment. Andrew Garfield has a big beard, for some reason

Ensemble Jupiter just posted a video of Lea Desandre and Thomas Dunford (theorbo hanging around his neck) singing Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and I just want to know who will finally stop the French baroque musicians

A REAL PAIN (2024): this may or may not be a good film, but unfortunately it’s hard to tell while obscured by Kieran Culkin being an Even More Annoying Version of Roman Roy for 90 minutes

My relationship with Big wasn’t the only thing I blew up that day. At the Trinity test site I detonated the first plutonium bomb, unleashing a 22 kiloton blast. Had I become Death, destroyer of worlds? Meanwhile uptown, Samantha had her hands full with her own “Manhattan project”

RUMOURS (2024): blimey, what a dreadful film. I should be the target audience for this but one of those where you can’t even tell where the jokes were supposed to be. How did they turn ten minutes of content into a two hours running time
