48. That exception of course is the fossil fuel producer. They are hostile to energy productivity for the same reason John Henry didn't like the steam shovel. They can't compete with it. Wins for consumers come at their expense. Wins for the climate come at their expense.

Trade Wars are Class Wars is a wonderful book and is quite short. IMO it’s been the best way he’s been able to fully articulate his views re: capital flows. Shout out of course to the co-author Matthew Klein.

That's helpful. Yes, I see how that's an abuse of the system, the public trust, and the defense.

I guess I've been thinking about it narrowly - within the confines of the case where it feels like the deck is not materially more stacked than usual. Thanks for helping me look at it differently.
