What's maddening is in checking the website for Third Way and seeing how every single person in a leadership role is white and at least looks to pass as heterosexual. Of course you don't care about using the term LGBTQIA+ because it doesn't impact you. And heaven forbid what you think about BIPOC.
A new memo from a Democratic think tank argues the party is too out of touch and lists a few dozen phrases they should switch out.

Today’s arrest of @bradlander.bsky.social is just one disturbing example of what ICE does every single day across the country. It’s not interested in law and order—this is about spreading fear. New York City will not stand for it.

In addition to thinking about those who gave their lives, I’m also thinking about the erasure of the history of Memorial Day. www.washingtonpost.com/history/2023...
Black people may have started Memorial Day. Whites erased it from history.
Thousands of formerly enslaved people put flowers on Union soldiers’ graves on May 1, 1865. For well over a century after the Civil War, the significance of the day was buried.

I literally made this joke throughout Trump’s first term: that ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi could have avoided being killed by the US if he’d offered to build a Trump Tower in Raqqa. I was joking.

And yet:
Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa is reportedly planning to offer Donald Trump a deal that includes building a Trump Tower in Damascus.

Autocrats around the world have figured out the price of Trump’s attention.

So that's what Big Balls did with the terabytes of data he stole from the National Labor Relations Board a few weeks ago.
On Friday ICE agents stopped a bus in Albion, NY. They had a list of names, and took 14 people into custody

Those workers—and their employer—happened to be involved in one of the most crucial labor struggles in the state in recent memory

If Trump pulls funding for the MTA over "safety" then New York State will stop paying federal taxes to Washington, right? In 2023, NY contributed $330 billion to the federal government. We have leverage.

And if I can't get to work because we lack train service then I want us to fight harder.
