It includes little-known error state startup chimes that go off when a disc isn't read correctly, and it's creepy. Creepy dark video game history.

He's mentioning 2013-14.
If i remember correctly, that was the winter people were skating in the middle of Toronto Harbour.

It's sounding like there's a chance we have a historical cold outbreak, and that makes me worried about stress on our social nets.

Gotta give a shoutout to the bus drivers. My 99N driver pulled of a 155° turn, on a gradient, on undersalted concrete, with no juggle or slip. That's patience and discipline.

I don't like winter. Standing in a bus stop for 10 minutes feels a bit harsh. I'm not biologically adjusted to this yet.

Well that's only part of it, it's blue, green and white. This is just the face, not the whole picture.

This was along a CPKC mainline through Milton, Mississauga, Toronto and other communities. Railways are still very safe and efficient for transporting goods. But there's a lack of discussion about re-routing freight lines outside of cities to reduce risks and free up passenger rail capacity.

At least one book claims that this accident was a catalyst to requiring "hot box detectors" for trains carrying dangerous goods through major metropolitan areas, although other sources suggest that they're not specifically mandated, rather that they are a tool of an overall safety management system.

They always cheer about there being no deaths as a result of this accident. That probably masks cases like his.

Naming complete, categorization is nearly there. Cross-referencing will be a bit of a slog, because it's slicing and dicing a parallel dataset.

Conservation authorities are usually the most comprehensive, my data uses their info as a base, and supplements with what's reflected in municipal mapping, Open Street Map or other text references in planning documents.

One of these days, I'm going to learn to use Leaflet maps instead. I'll still publish into KML format though, because again, it's important to me to allow more people of different abilities to use my data. This was a point I hit on during my Civic Tech Toronto hacknight presentation.

I create my data in GIS and then export it to KML format to make it accessible to more people. I also need KML to load it into Google My Maps and embed it onto my site. But it's one of those datasets where it exceeds Google's size cap, so I had to simplify the geometry to reduce file size.
