World state shift, rebuilding ancient structures as modern day ruins, new town ruins where I built towns, the oasis bazaar, giving practically every character a soul, even some of the Dragonlord's LINES were nearly identical

Up until recently I could say my favorite Rune Factory game was Frontier, on the Nintendo Wii.
Now, it's Guardians of Azuma. And it's not even close. This game is so much more than all its predecessors that I honestly can't even compare them on any sort of scale.
I am completely blown away.
