Neues aus der bekanntlich besten Demokratie im Nahen Osten: In Israel geht der Gesetzesentwurf zur Todesstrafe in die zweite und danach beschließende Lesung. Der Entwurf gilt de facto nur für Palästinenser, sieht keine Berufung vor und Urteile werden binnen 90 Tagen per Giftspritze vollstreckt.
