In April, U.S.-made bombs destroyed a detention facility that held Ethiopian migrants in Yemen, crushing bodies and shredding limbs. Few answers have emerged, and the U.S. has not claimed responsibility. Amid official silence, the survivors are left wondering why.

If disability benefits are slashed at the same time, it creates a deeply disturbing reality of:
“You won’t be given enough to live with dignity — but here’s a legal route to die with dignity.”

We despise immigrants for not putting down roots, even as we make sure that it is impossible for them to do so. We do this because we have no idea what we want.

The government was wrong to cut winter fuel payments.

It was wrong to keep the 2-child benefit cap.

It was wrong to slash disability benefits.

Pushing people into poverty is the wrong thing to do. The right thing to do is redistribute wealth and power so that everyone can live in dignity.

Hey British media,
It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning.
Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10

Labour MUST offer hope to so many who are struggling! They must act like a LABOUR Party - NOT Tory - lite!
This move to the right has been ugly to witness. They MUST offer hope - they aren’t!
And do something about MSM !

Well, now that the GOP administration is disabling disease surveillance, response, and even basic research, there's no shield. 1/ 🧵
We appear to be seeing an uptick of devastating flu-associated Acute Necrotizing Encephalitis in children this season. We've had reports here in No. Cal. Others out of Boston. We're piecemealing things together because there's no active surveillance for ANE, and CDC can't communicate with partners.

Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
