The SAVE act is a big deal that would suppress the votes of 70 MILLION women. PLEASE pay attention and call your reps!
Do you think working moms, many of whom care for both their children and their parents, have time to drive hours in the middle of a work day just to register to vote?

They’ll have to if Republicans pass the SAVE Act.

We’re fighting back.

In a democracy, everyone has a right to have their voice heard. So grateful for these elders.
For the #HandsOff , there were a group of seniors that couldn't make it to the Capitol.

So they held their very own! 57 of them came out!

Aged 67-104!

They all walked down to the main street! So proud of them!

They had s sign making day before the event!

They sent this video to me to share.🥰

We stand with Ukraine.
We can't say it often enough now.

I will always stand with Ukraine.

We have to thank Republicans who speak truth and stand up for democracy.
Whether Don Bacon is your representative or not, call him and thank him.

He is the first Republican to support Ukraine without a caveat, after what happened in the oval office

This is my representative! Thank you so much, Rep. Larsen! Go get em!

"Our greatest enemy is cynicism, this idea they try to implant in us that we can't actually do things together. So do something that inspires you."
At a town hall in my district this weekend, a constituent told me she is feeling overwhelmed by the news and struggling to know what to do.

Here is part of what I told her:

Do you need a good word to keep you going? Here's one:
I was back at my previous congregation today as a guest preacher as they celebrate 100 years.

Today's lectionary sermon: Psalm 37 and Luke 6:27-38 ... where we are called to love our enemies, not spin out when we see evil, and keep our hearts right.

The full on contempt for our civil servants is unacceptable. Republicans in Congress should be ashamed for staying silent.
The disrespect has been shocking but this is now full on contempt.

All it takes is 3 Republicans to join us and leave behind the silence and complicity. We must call out Musk on his harassment of the civil servants who keep our country running.

Keep the pressure on.

Do we want 40% of American children to lose their health care so that a handful of billionaires can get another tax cut?
#GRWM while I explain how Republicans’ budget proposal to cut $2.5 trillion from Medicaid will affect you.

Love to see Republicans speaking out.
Dark Pence is back.

Every day, find encouraging words that sustain you. Here are mine for today.
Tell stories of courage and action in our constitutional crisis. Avoid turning on each other. Carve out space for beauty and joy. Be in it for the long haul. Set boundaries. Be open to new allies. Set a limit on doomscrolling. Trust in God. Your gifts are for others. Live one day at a time.

Republican Senators Rand and Graham quoted as pushing back on the president.
“The pursuit for peace should be that of the Israelis and the Palestinians,” Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., said. “I thought we voted for America First. We have no business contemplating yet another occupation to doom our treasure and spill our soldiers’ blood.” to.pbs.org/3WO0HQh
Trump's global policy ideas have some wondering how the president went from America First to America Everywhere
President Donald Trump promised voters an administration that wouldn't waste precious American lives and taxpayer treasure on far-off wars and nation building.

If your pastor is trying to preach bravely right now, support her or him.

Up your pledge (to make up anyone threatening to withdraw support) if you have the means.

Tell them that you have their back.

Speak up in defense of bravery and truth.

Pray for the pastor-and your fellow parishioners.

This is helpful for me as I get ready to preach tomorrow.
Okay, I'm not going to post this much, but this one was timely. My writing is going to slow down now if you've subscribed. I don't want you spammed. My substack time has really been for me to get what I'm thinking off my chest. I appreciate those who read.

Don’t believe anyone who tells you that all hope is lost.

We, together, are the hope. We are it.
